Approx 12" tall, firmly-stuffed and hand painted cloth head with center seam and highly characterized expression, upturned nose (Gamish face), painted blue eyes, closed mouth, blonde silky floss curly hair, slender muslin body.
Appears to be original.
She is wearing original tulle and taffeta gown with floral appliques and elaborate floral trimmed bonnet.
There is one small hole in the dress. See pictures.
MISSING WOOD BASE (pictures show bottom.of feet with holes for the stand armature).
Condition is very good for its age despite missing her base.
No marks but age and look identify it as a Casa Carioca, Garmisch-Partenkirchen Germany doll.
Casa Carioca was a popular soldier's retreat in the Alps during the 1930/40s. Dolls were created as promotional souvenirs.
